Vintage 50 would like to welcome its new
Brewster Bret Kimbrough


Bret began brewing in 1996 in the Midwest and has been a brew master at 3 other breweries in KS, NY and MD. He is the 1997 graduate of the American Brewers Guild Craft Brewing Science and Engineering program.  Most recently he served as head brewer for 3 years at Growlers Brew Pub in Gaithersburg, MD where he brewed over 120 different kinds of ales and lagers.  The craziest beer he has brewed to date was an amber ale with white beans and malt smoked over bacon, known as the appropriately named the Windbreaker Ale. 
Bret has had a long history in the culinary field in addition to his brewing experience.  He worked for 10 years in national and world ranked properties in New Orleans, New York, Vermont and North Carolina as a baker, pastry chef and culinary school professor. He studied baking and pastry arts at the Culinary Institute of America and baking science at Kansas State University.
Bret believes in interacting with his fellow beer lovers and after a few moments you will not only see his comedic side but just how serious he is about beer!
